Arduino Pro Mini ↔ MPU6050 Wiring Guide (Soldering Reference)
This document describes exactly how to connect an Arduino Pro Mini to an MPU6050 IMU using I²C.
Follow this 1:1 while soldering.
Overview
- Microcontroller: Arduino Pro Mini (ATmega328P)
- Sensor: MPU6050 (accelerometer + gyroscope)
- Communication: I²C
- Power: 3.3V or 5V (depends on your MPU6050 breakout)
I²C Basics (why only 2 data wires)
I²C uses:
- SDA → data line
- SCL → clock line
All devices:
- share the same SDA/SCL wires
- must share GND
- are addressed digitally (MPU6050 default:
0x68)
